Not even sure what to title this :)

Yehaw

Hello hello 皆さん!

This week was super busy and flew by! Not to mention it was chock full of miracles.

We went on exchanges with a couple companionships, which was a super good time. There are some great missionaries here in Lubbock.
We also found a nice couple thanks to Elder Park. They were sitting by a fire pit so we just sat and talked with them.
We started teaching a lady that dropped us again, which was sweet, and lastly our neighbor that tazed us is finally really progressing! He had an awesome experience and has started cranking through the Book of Mormon. It was so cool to be a part of it. It'll still take time for them though

Transfer news! I'm heading to Midland, which is going to be a blast. It's back near my first zone, so I'll get to see some familiar places and faces. I'm excited, but sad to leave. This is a super great ward and my companions have rocked my socks off.

Our zone theme here was "embrace" so basically, anything that was difficult, we just tried to embrace it. I think it's a good way to live and can help us to move past the things that hold us back. Try to Embrace the things that come at you!

Tons o' puns

Sweet dinner with a member family

どうもジョーンズ長老です!

How was your week everyone??
Mine was pretty great honestly :)

It was pretty chilly at the beginning of the week, but that was super fun. Street contacting on a cold cloudy day is super cool.

We also  have probably one of the most prepared people I've ever met that we're kind of teaching. We had to pass him off to the YSA sisters, but we're team teaching him. He's so legit! We read the intro to the Book of Mormon with him and he was getting all excited to read more.

We did tons of service this week and made lots and lots of puns... lots of them haha. Most of our service was in the temple so that was great! The renovations are getting close to being done, so we were cleaning up inside! It was the first time I've really been in the temple since December! The spirit is so strong in there. We were cleaning under the baptismal font and just being surrounded by those oxen was so sweet. We really are gathering Israel :) please go to the temple at every opportunity you can!

Anyways, hope you have a good week, またね!

BAUTISMOOO

どうもジョーンズ長老です!

This week was a grand old time. Karen got baptized and confirmed, and she was just the happiest little lady I've ever seen. Bishop was speaking at the end of her baptism and mentioned that she would be confirmed a member of the church tomorrow, and she had the widest smile as he said it.

We also went on exchanges this week, and I got to go with Elder Duke. Hes a super cool guy, and taught me a ton.

Oh also HAPPY HALLOWEEN! We got to be a part of a cool little trunk or treat with the ward, which was a blast.

Hope you're all doing well!

P.S. sorry mama asked for more pictures...

Stake Conference

 どうもジョーンズ長老です!

This was a super good week!
We saw tons of miracles, and met some really sweet people. Stake conference was this week too, so that was pretty fun.

We popped off on Facebook this week, and even started teaching some people. One of them is a super well-prepared guy, he is so appreciative of what we do. People like that really are the best. We also met this guy at the food bank we do service at, and he is killer! He is a truth seeker for sure. He came to stake conference and we taught him at the temple with some sisters in our district.

I had a pretty sweet experience on a mini exchange with an elder in the district. We were helping these sisters with some service in an absolute pit of a house. It was abandoned and basically owned by 10 animals for 3 years. So we were helping this lady clean it out a bit, and this Elder just starts teaching her so smoothly. We talked for a bit then got back to work. Then she said "so what other interesting stuff do I not know about?" Which let us talk about the Book of Mormon. Even though the house was nasty, the spirit was so strong as we shared what we had with her. The experiences we have, are given to us so that we can bless others and help them through their own spiritual journey.

Super Monkey Ball

 どうも!

Well, this week was interesting. I don't have a whole lot of time to email, but we had zone conference which was super good.

For most of the week we were on a super exchange with the other Elders in our ward. All 6 of us in our apartment. It was way fun. One of them hurt his ankle playing basketball, so I had to take some time taking care of him and making sure he didn't work himself too hard. Then at our basketball night a guy the ZLs are teaching hurt his ankle and me and Elder Jex ended up being the ones helping him out with everything. It was good though.

It was a disappointing week, because a lot of people dropped us, but it's ok. Our success is measured by our commitment to help people, not the number of people we help. Anyway, lots of prayers were answered throughout the week, and the members have been a huge support to us. This ward has some of the best members I've ever met.

Sorry I don't have time to go into detail on everything. Love you guys.

Now that's some mission fire

Classic street sky pic

どうもジョーンズ長老です!!

Holy smokes this week was absolutely nuts. We got to be in a quad companionship for a couple days with Elder Ballif, before he took off. Honestly the quad is OP haha. We ended up finding 3 people with a bunch of potentials on our first day!

Elder Park is a really interesting missionary, and not at all what I was expecting. He's super funny, and is super diligent. He sure loves the work. And because of that we started teaching 11 people!! So crazy.

Anyway, the rest of the week was pretty good, probably had the best district council of my mission so far, so that was sweet, but yeah, we got to see tons of miracles this week.

"Hey, it's Elder Turner and Elder Jones"

 こんにちは!

Hope you all enjoyed conference! It was pretty darn good.

I got to go on exchanges with my old trainer this week! It was nice to be back at it again.

We got transfer news this week, and it looks like I'm staying here in Caprock, with Elder Jex again! We are training another new missionary. Elder Ballif is finally shipping off to Portugal this week, so that's exciting.

Nothing really new this week, but I hope you all had a good one!
